Eco Spray Paint – Three Ways to Use Environmentally Friendly Paint

Many of us never understand that a lot of the products we find and use in our daily lives pose a threat to the environment and also to our own health. To avoid toxic waste and limit the health risk in the use of paints, companies have embarked on the manufacture of eco spray paint. These are three different ways to use eco spray paint so you can have different effects in your artwork or graffiti.

Restore Old Furniture

A can of eco spray paint can change the color of those old deck chairs in no time. These days you can pick from a handful of manufacturers that make latex and water-based aerosol spray paints. They still generate emissions that are harmful and that most people would find objectionable, although they have lower VOC’s than their more toxic cousins. The best way is to spray that old furniture outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

Brighten Up A Drab Wall

Eco spray paint does not have the bright color palette of conventional paint, but you can still use it to do a graffiti mural on one of your walls. Take some spray paint courses and follow the footsteps of Ottawa graffiti artist Stefan Thompson, who recently tossed all of his solvent-laden spray cans and cast off many of the bright pigments that had been central to his palette.

Makeover a Room

Does the color of your room suddenly feel out of whack? A lick of paint is the quickest of makeovers. Keep a mask on when spray painting indoors: spray paints are more eco friendly, not completely so. Ventilate the room as best you can, and protect floor and furniture with old newspaper, since spray paint has a tendency to drift. Get some wide Sellotape and use it to create borders between colors and protect the furniture.
